Most removals in the Buffalo area run between $300 for a small tree and $2,500 or more for a very large tree close to a structure. Size, species, access, and proximity to buildings and power lines drive the price far more than anything else. We give a free written estimate so the number is fixed before we start.
Trees on private property generally do not require a permit. Street trees — those in the city right-of-way between the sidewalk and the curb — are managed by the City of Buffalo and cannot be removed without authorisation. Some surrounding municipalities have their own rules on size or species. We will tell you which category your tree falls into during the estimate.
We plan for it. Soft or saturated lawns get plywood or mats under the equipment, drop zones are planned around beds and hardscape, and heavy sections are rigged and lowered rather than dropped. On especially tight sites we bring in a crane so the wood never touches the ground.
Stump grinding is a separate service and a separate line on the quote, because not everyone wants it. If you do want the stump gone, we can grind it the same day in most cases — just ask for it to be included in the estimate.
A straightforward backyard tree is usually a half-day. Large removals near a house, or jobs needing a crane, can take a full day or two. We give you the expected window in the written estimate so you can plan parking and access.
Brush is chipped on site and hauled away, and logs are cut down and removed as part of the quoted price. If you want the wood left cut to firewood length for you, say so before we start and we will stack it instead — at no extra charge.
